#BElocalLOVE December Nonprofit of the Month: Families Helping Families
We’re thrilled to support Families Helping Families as our BE Local Love December Nonprofit of the Month! This month, we have the privilege of making the Season special for four adopted families. Please join us as we work to fulfill their Holiday wish lists! We will be accepting donated gifts through 12/12, and will collect monetary donations through the end of the month. Look for the FHF Wishing Wall in-studio, starting Sunday, 12/6. Select an item to donate and bring it to the studio.
Here’s how you can help:
- Donate items from the Wishing Wall through 12/12.
- Attend Community Class with Ani on 12/16 at 6:45pm- Register Now!
- Stay for Holiday tunes, cider, and gift wrapping after Community Class.
In 2014 Families Helping Families (FHF) in the Midlands and the Lowcountry provided assistance to more than 3,000 families in need of food, clothing, and Christmas gifts. The estimated value of this assistance was nearly $1.5 million.
Now in its 25th year, FHF provides a business-like approach to organizing holiday giving for the neediest families in South Carolina. By coordinating with local agencies and community assistance programs we can insure that donations and charitable giving are targeted to those who need help the most, and by eliminating duplication of services we can do more for more families.
Over the past 24 years, more than 42,600 South Carolina families have been helped at Christmas.
Every dollar donated to FHF generates nearly $9 in goods and services for Palmetto State families in need.
Donate directly to FHF, or donate in any BE studio through December 31st.
